Meet Our Team... with Michele Yarbrough

Last week, we introduced you to the owner and founder of Magnolia Marketing Group, and this week we're spotlighting Michele Yarbrough, our Social Media Marketing Strategist!

Michele, tell us about yourself!

I have been married to my husband Dave, a retired Firefighter, for 26 years! We have three children ages 22, 19, and 14. Even though he is retired he works as a paramedic for a local hospital during the week, and after years of crazy schedules, we LOVE having him home on weekends! I joined the MMG team in July 2017 after retiring from 20 years as Preschool Director at my church. I had previous experience in social media and have always been interested in it! When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family (which is much more challenging now with older kids), attending church, watching a beautiful sunset, date nights (especially if it includes a good concert), the beach, great restaurants, listening to podcasts, and visiting my family in KY and SC (which includes a great niece and 2 great nephews). I am a certified facilitator with the ScreamFree Institute, and have a huge heart for moms and love encouraging them to BLOOM in every season of life. What is your job at MMG?

My job at MMG is Social Media Marketing Strategist. I maintain 5 of our accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, including all our social media promotion for MMG! I create content, schedule it, post it, and engage on behalf of the clients on their platforms. I network and serve as a business development manager for MMG as well. I also love assisting Amanda with our clients digital marketing and branding assessments. It’s so exciting to work with a client and take their business to the next level with great branding and marketing strategies.

What's a normal day look like for you?

A normal day for me is waking up early for some "me time," grabbing coffee, and leaving the house at 6:30 (yikes!) to take my daughter to school. Usually I return home for some exercise and more quiet time, then get started with my day of posting to accounts, responding to messages, engagement for our accounts, and planning future posts. I also take some time for continued learning through webinars, podcasts, and Facebook trainings. My day also might include phone calls or meetings with clients or with Amanda, and by then it's time to pick up my daughter, run some errands, or take her somewhere. Then it's time for dinner, laundry, and all things home management! We love to end our day with some TV and hanging out together.
